Why Middle States Accreditation?

“Wonderwood Village has been recognized as a Candidate for Accreditation by Middle States Association (MSA). Candidate status recognizes our readiness and commitment to meet MSA standards and places us on a guided pathway toward full accreditation.”

  • Post-Graduate Opportunities: Accreditation with MSA supports our plan to grant an American diploma that is globally recognized. Graduates can use it to apply to universities that accept an American diploma worldwide. We want to ensure every door possible is available to our first graduating class.
  • School Voucher Funding Access: In our state, accreditation from an approved body is required to qualify for voucher funding. This lets families use voucher funds here and can help us grow enrollment. We need this now to be ready for the next voucher application cycle.
  • Strong Foundations of Organizational and Academic Success: MSA’s five standards and key concepts make us reflect deeply on every part of our school. This yields stronger systems and an improved academic program students and families can count on.

Why Forest School Teacher Institute Accreditation?

“Forest School Teacher Institute has been a leader in training forest school teachers and directors since 2015, with over 1000 participants earning FSTI certification. The new FSTI Accreditation aims to provide further opportunities for collaboration, expansion and growth among forest and nature-based programs both nationally and internationally.”

FSTI training and certification is endorsed by the MSED in Outdoor Teacher Education at Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee.

Why IALDS (International Association of Learner Driven Schools)?

“IALDS is an accreditation organization that facilitates exceptional education standards for thousands of gifted students, educators, and their families. Spanning the globe, its outreach is matched only by its passion. IALDS excels with standard education models, as well as those more innovative in nature, both with the expressed purpose of elevating the experience of students and teachers alike.”

  • IALDS champions the notion that, while core subjects such as mathematics, science, history and language arts supported by the Common Core Standards and other regulatory and advisory bodies are of the utmost importance to traditional educators, we believe these subjects can be supplemented through other means to enhance critical thinking and promote 21st Century Skills.
  • IALDS supports most Common Core Standards but also advocates private schools that go beyond such measures in STEM and other specializations, providing the appropriate scaffolding from early learning to secondary education. We believe in empowering students to reach their full potential by providing equal access to all necessary resources, but leaving the chosen modality to the discretion of each individual institution.
  • Like all educational institutions, IALDS seeks to protect its member schools from unnecessary regulation and bureaucracy, while making concerted efforts to not inundate or create burdensome jargon for educators.
  • IALDS is honored to have granted accreditation to innovative schools serving gifted students in over twenty countries, helping leading institutions make learning more fulfilling for students, more efficient for educators, and more beneficial for the world.
